Shawn Sutta is a film composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He began studying classical piano at age 7. Even in his early days, his passion for music was fueled by the ability to connect with people quickly realizing the impression he could make by creating and sharing his own compositions.
A life shaping experience at age 11 gave Shawn a chance to develop as a musician while learning to use music as a tool for helping people. Under the mentorship of Richard Aspinwall, a retired grammy winning producer, he was given the chance to join a band called Lighthouse that served the community through free music lessons and performing at homeless shelters, churches, concerts and gatherings all over the country. During tours, the band also had the opportunity to record in world class studios in Nashville TN. It was here that Shawn developed a passion for recording.
After graduating from the University of Miami with a degree in Studio music and Jazz, Shawn discovered a way to merge his passions for music, recording, and connecting with people with his lifelong affinity for cinema. As a film composer, he has a unique ability to collaborate with production teams as well as other musicians to produce music that connects the viewer to the heart of a film.
